When will the full truth come out? In the years following Jeffrey Epstein’s death, there has been an increasing demand for the release of all of Epstein’s private documents regarding flights, events, or transcripts on his island, Little Saint James (otherwise nicknamed Epstein’s Island). Unfortunately, only a small percentage of the millions of records from his private archive have been released by the Department of Justice, with most of them heavily redacted.
Such an interest in these files from the public stems not only from curiosity as to the behind-the-scenes of Epstein’s trafficking ring, but also from what connection the President and other wealthy elites may have had with the disgraced financier. Most importantly, the request for full release of the Epstein files is to serve as validation for all of the victims who suffered through years of abuse.
Many famous faces have been seen in released photos, like Bill Gates or Michael Jackson, but it is apparent to many other news outlets that President Trump had one of the closest relationships with Epstein.
Speculation about Trump’s friendship with Epstein exploded just before the 2024 presidential election, after controversial interview tapes between journalist Michael Wolff and Jeffrey Epstein were released just months before his imprisonment in 2019. The recordings included quotes from Epstein, in response to Wolff’s question of how he knew so much about Trump, saying how he was his “best friend for ten years.”
This is not the only controversy, however, that has unraveled since the largest release of the Epstein files so far. Another, more conclusive assessment, is the dozens of photos of former President Bill Clinton included in photos with Epstein. Long after his heavily controversial affair with Monica Lewinsky, Clinton still finds himself in troubled waters. It is just as clear that the Clinton family had strong ties with Jeffrey Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell.
It is yet to be proven whether or not Bill Clinton was aware of the trafficking and sexual activities with minors, even when having been a consistent friend of Epstein’s. However, no matter whether he knew or not, it is safe to conclude that his reputation as a former president will not be the same.
Because of the current access to all Epstein files that are open to the public, and the countless inconclusive answers to the people’s questions, many controversies have sparked since Jeffrey Epstein’s 2019 arrest. Between two presidents having been openly involved with Epstein’s private affairs, the question must be asked: Is the nation better off scolding a former, out-of-office president, or the current one?
