Club Rush encourages students to become more involved with the school. It offered 31 clubs that ranged from Drama to Hockey and new clubs such as Cosplay.

“It was easy to encourage people because there was something for everybody,” said Hannah Shaffer, junior and one of two publicists in Drama.

With the amount of clubs that were being offered, some students were having a hard time trying to figure out which clubs they should sign up for.

“I just had to pick the ones I thought I could fit into my schedule and the ones that I think I would enjoy most,” said Andrew Sheppard, junior.

One of the clubs at Club Rush was Red Light Rebellion (RLR) which is a sex trafficking awareness club.

“We do fundraisers, item drives and stuff like that to raise awareness,” said Amy Ponce, senior and President of RLR.

RLR and other clubs are always open to receiving new members before and after Club Rush as well.

“I encourage people to join RLR through many ways. For example in class when I have the chance to, I bring Red Light into the conversation and when they look interested I explain the kind of things we do to fight sex trafficking,” Ponce said.
