Stugo elected new freshmen members on August 21st during lunch alongside Club Rush. Each candidate had to create a campaign that would get their fellow classmates to vote for them.

If a student lost in the election, they still had a chance to become a member by having an interview.

“We look for leadership, personality, and creativity,” said Stugo advisor Jennifer Galbereath.

Freshman, Ella Mansur said that she believes she was accepted into Stugo because she was honest and said whatever she thought during her interview. Mansur also said she used social media as help get more votes.

Another freshman, Logan Evans said that he is a very outgoing person and he demonstrated that during his interview.

Both of the new freshmen members agree that they are ready to contribute to helping plan the upcoming events at OHS. They both want to give ideas and participate as much as they can.

Evans said that he wants to dress up for all the spirit weeks and get his friends to join him as well.

“The [new] freshmen should expect a family environment, good food, team effort, and friendship,” Galbereath said.
