What’s the rush? Stugo hosts annual club rush

Thursday August 21st was the annual Club rush during both lunches.

It was hosted by Stugo and consisted of 17 different clubs each of which had their own table.

I think it’s good for some people to have an opportunity to start something new,” said Joanna Velasquez, sophomore.

There was an extended lunch period to account for time to check out the clubs, however, a lot of people felt that it was a waste of time.

“It’s a waste of time because most people sign up for clubs and don’t even show up,” said Ashley Osero, junior, vice-president of the Interact club.

Some students just make it their goal to sign up for as many clubs as they can for no real reason.

“People just don’t like it,” said Joel Olson, sophomore.

Some people however, think it’s helpful because it “Shows people what the clubs are,” said Chelsea Rumbo, Freshman.

The students that go on to attend the club meetings are glad to have learned about the club at club rush, and feel rewarded by attending the meetings.

“The more involved in school the better experiences you’ll have, and the more memories you’ll have,” Said Kayla Kamleiter, senior, Stugo member.
