Freshman: Bridgette Buttrum
-Is high school what you expected?
-No, I thought it would be how they make it seem from movies.
-Do you miss middle school?
-Not at all, high school is so much better!
-Favorite part of OHS so far?
-Meeting new people and having better lunch.
-Any old friends? New friends?
-I don’t really hang out with my old friends; I have a lot new friends which is great.
Sophomore: Kayden Meyersick
-Where did you go for freshman year?
-Mountain View High School
-Similarities between your old high school and OHS? Differences?
-Both large campuses but my old school was really strict with not allowing phones.
-Old school or OHS better?
-O’Connor my old school was horrible.
-Do you like your schedule?
-No, I messed up last year because I didn’t pay attention, so now I’m in a lot of academic classes.
-Extra hobbies?
-I like to go work out at the gym when I have free time.
Junior: Anthony Pacinelli
-Previous high school?
-Boulder Creek for my freshman year and Barry Goldwater sophomore year.
-OHS or your other high schools?
-This is the best one out of the three.
-Does OHS fulfill your standards?
-Yeah, it’s a really nice school!
-Do you have any new friends? Do you like your teachers?
-Yeah, I have met a lot of new people and my teachers are super cool.
-Favorite classes?
-Systematics and Arizona world history.
-How has your experience so far?
-Good, this year seems like it’s going to be really cool!
Senior: Jaclyn Lezek
-Previous high school?
-Salina Central High in Kansas for my freshman and sophomore year, Huntsville High School in Alabama my junior year and now O’Connor!
-Plans for college?
-I plan to start at GCC for the basics and then I want to go to ASU to become a nurse.
-OHS or previous high schools?
-O’Connor is the best because the people are more social and involved. The atmosphere is way better.
-Any hobbies?
-I’m really active, I love to go running and hiking!
-So far, how is OHS? Any special memories?
-The first day was hard, but it’s getting easier because I’m used to moving around. I’m a part of the yearbook staff which is great!
