With the start of 2026, many artists are on the rise. Artists like Megan Maroney, Madison Beer, and Bruno Mars have announced new albums and new tour dates, bringing the population into a concert frenzy.
Back in December of 2025, Megan Maroney finally announced her highly anticipated tour for her album “Cloud 9,” and sold out most arenas just within the first weeks of 2026.
“At first, artists like Maroney had a slow rise to fame; however, with the help of social media, many artists and their new music have been brought to light.” which is how the Roblox concert for Bruno Mars was brought into question.
In late January, Bruno Mars announced his tour and new album, along with a new single, “I Just Might.” Due to this, fans started freaking out, as this was his first album release since 2016, making it close to a decade ago.
After tickets went on sale for his new tour, they sold out almost within a week. People decided to take matters into their own hands and formed a concert of their own for Bruno Mars on the gaming app “Roblox.”
With all of these new releases, ticket prices are spiraling out of control. When searching on the usually cheap ticket websites, the cheapest ticket they can find is close to 400 dollars.
Not only is this the case with smaller artists, but most of the bigger artists’ ticket prices are reaching sky-high, which is another reason people want to get concerts on different platforms and gaming sites.
As much as people want these tickets, is it really worth all of the fuss, or is it just people trying to get Instagram proof that they were there, not really because they want to enjoy the experience? No matter the intention, the results of these bidding wars and the craving to go to concerts in 2026 are on the rise and are continuing to go up from here.
