Ruth Mioc, Features Editor
Ruth Mioc is a junior at Sandra Day O’Connor, and is currently in her second year on The Talon, the first as the Features Editor. Her decision to join the newspaper was influenced by her lifelong love of writing, and proclivity for crafting stories that incorporate truth and engagement. She has always wanted to publish her work, and be a part of a community that shares her interests; she credits The Talon for giving her the opportunity to do both. Her favorite part of being on the staff, other than writing, is connecting with people through interviews, and researching topics in depth. This year she hopes to continue writing relevant cultural and current events, improve her photography skills, and learn how to edit her peers' work effectively. Most of her time is spent at school, but in her free time she enjoys volunteering at her local library, listening to music or seeing it live, and thrifting.
