Amaya Kelly is a senior at OHS this year. She is excited to start her second year on The Talon, as the Sports Editor. Amaya joined the newspaper staff as a way to get involved with the student body, and immerse herself in the environment at OHS. She loves to meet new people, and curate stories about things she is passionate about. While not in school, Amaya plays club soccer. She chose to be Sports Editor so she can make sure the sports stories in The Talon showcase all the amazing athletic programs and student-athletes at OHS. Other interests of Amaya include: reading, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
True Van Dyke is a senior at OHS, and this is her third year on the Talon, second as Editor-in-Chief. She joined the newspaper for her love of writing, publishing, and getting involved on campus. She has loved being around literature her whole life, and has always felt inspired when it came to producing it herself, so she is thankful that the newspaper has given her an opportunity to do so. She additionally works at a boutique outside of school, serves at her local church on the weekends, likes to travel to new places, and attends many of the school events around OHS. Newspaper has heavily impacted her memories and time spent at OHS, creating a community, and providing opportunities both within high school, and for her future career.
