Seniors scream at the assembly during the traditional class yells

The week of January 23rd, 2017, OHS had their second spirit week. The spirit week was inspired by the movie “Nerve”, an action movie that involves a risky game or truth or dare, without the truth.

On the last day of the spirit week, there was an assembly put on by Stugo.

“I thought the assembly had high energy,” said Alyssa Muller, freshman. “There was a lot of student energy in the room as well, and I think it was a lot of fun.”

The theme that day was neon, different grades wearing different colors. Freshmen wore orange, sophomores wore yellow, juniors wore white, and seniors wore pink.

“The neon looked cool at the assembly and made the school seem brighter,” Muller said.

The assembly recapped the latest season in sports  and introduced the school to the teams. There were also different showcases of dance and talent. Both the assembly and the spirit week had students participating.
“I liked it.” Muller said. “I thought there were some really cool spirit days in there, and is something I would do again.”
