OHS students will attend an assembly Wednesday by the Not My Kid organization to give students information about how to get help in tough times.
Flyers will be handed out to students to provide a visual aid during the assembly.
The Not My Kid organization was founded by Steve and Debbie Moak in 1999 to reach out to others on making good decisions and having references when help is needed.
“Our main goal on what we want the students to get out of this is that there are always references waiting to help them when they are in need and to make good decisions,” said Kimberly Heinz, assistant principal.
Leann Hall, Andy Hall`s mom will be there to give a speech to the students to bring awareness about how you can always reach out for help.
“The Not My Kid organization has always been present in the Deer Valley district and our sister school`s like Mountain Ridge, but we have never thought about bringing this much attention about the organization to the students,” said Heinz.
The Students will be split into two different groups for the assembly; each assembly is 50 minutes long.
