Two students were hit by a car before school this morning according to several sources. The two were walking to school and crossing Hackamore when they were hit. A recorded phone message to OHS parents states that one student did not break any bones and was flown by helicopter to Phoenix children’s hospital as a precaution. The other was treated by the paramedics on site.
The response by paramedics was within minutes of the crash. Five officers, a sergeant, a helicopter, two ambulances and two fire engines showed up to the scene. Bryce Anderson, principal, went to the students’ first hour class and informed the class of the accident and condition of the two students.
Sources say buses to OHS and Stetson Hills were late due to traffic backup but the scene was cleaned up within an hour.
