The Valentine’s Day matches, run by the Interact Club every year, had a unique twist to them this year. And it was all designed by an OHS student, Jason Paulos, sophomore.
Q. What’s special about the Valentine’s Day Matches this year?
A. They were all done online and this year, we’re using a special algorithm to complete them.
Q. Why did you want to do it?
A. I did it to help the school raise money while also be able to do work that I’m interested in.
Q. How were you able to do it?
A. I was able to put together an equation that compared people based on their answers to the survey and made a program to do it.
Q. How long did it take you?
A. It took several months just to get everything together.
Q. Are you going to do it again next year?
A. Yes, I’m planning to.
Q. What changes are you going to make for next year?
A. Next year we’re going back to paper surveys because more people will do it.
Q. Are you excited to see how it works out when people start getting their matches?
A. Yes I’m excited to see how many people get their matches.
