Q: How long have you been in Stugo?
A: I have been in Stugo for four years.
Q: What made you want to get into Stugo?
A: I really wanted to get involved in my campus and be a part of all the planning for all the dances, the assemblies and dances so I thought that those were the events that were important to the high school experience and I wanted to be a part of it.
Q: What does it mean to you to be the president of a student body president?
A: It means to take on a big leadership role and being the ultimate leader on campus not only in student government itself but as a student but it is a representative of what a good leader should look like.
Q: Do you feel like you have the full support of Stugo behind you?
A: Yes I do everybody is always making decisions by my side.
Q: Do you want to continue into a college student government in your future?
A: Yes I plan on my sophomore year of college getting into the student government at Grand Canyon University.
Q: What difference has Stugo made in your life?
A: It has definitely taught me leadership skills, qualities and it has helped me develop better character and better communication skills which has enhanced lots of abilities that I possess.
Q: What do you recommend for upcoming students that want to get involved with Stugo?
A: That it is definitely a great idea, I encourage them all if they are interested to run for the elections, it is probably the best decision that I have made in my high school career and I know that they will for sure not regret it if they choose to run for student government.
Q: How much of your time is involved with Stugo?
A: I would say umm, depending on your role and how dedicated you are, the time you put in varies but obviously if you want to make something the best the more time, you are going to have to put into it. So I put a lot of time into it because I want my events to be a huge success for everyone and myself.
Q: What types of jobs do you have to do as the president of Stugo?
A: I am in charge of signing all of the clubs off so if someone wants to start a club I have to approve it. I also lead a committee three times a year for each season so like in the fall I can either plan the assembly, spirit week, the dance or what- not and then I can do the same in the winter and then the same in the spring.
Q: Do you carry most of the weight of stuff to do on your shoulders since you’re the president of Stugo?
A: Yes I do, it is just a lot more responsibility and your kind of the go- to person in the liaison of the group.
