Getting your backpack ready, going to bed early for the morning, setting you alarm for 6 am, these are all steps students take to get back into school mode. According to students it felt like the winter break only lasted a weekend, instead of two weeks.
This week, OHS students are making the transition from vacation to school work.
“It`s good to start over after having two weeks off and get better grades than I did last semester,” said Alisza Jaime a sophomore. “I still need to make myself be ready for taking notes and learning again.”
Some teachers have already begun to have students take tests this week.
“It`s just hard to wrap my head around all the tests and notes because I`m still trying to wrap my mind around all the awesome stuff I did over break,” said Aniah Johnson a sophomore.
Students said this is frustrating because it can take a while for them to get back in the mode of taking notes and preparing for tests.
According to some students it was very difficult to return and learn on the first day back from break.
The next day off for students is Jan. 21 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
