September 22, 2016 was dubbed a lazy day for both students and teachers alike. Many students and teachers dressed up in their sleep attire and some supported “old people” get-ups as Thursday’s spirit day was titled reTIREDment.

Students dressing up in their pajamas either came to school in the traditional sleepwear, printed cotton pants and an oversized t-shirt or a onesie.

“It’s fun and you get to wear whatever you want,” said Cortney Hansen, freshman.

Others took the spirit day for what it was and dressed up in high waisted cargo pants and button ups, carrying around walkers and canes around campus as they got into character and acted like old people.

“It’s actually fun to get involved in school because it just makes your high school experience better,” said Mila Alarcon, sophomore.
