OHS hosts curriculum fair

Last Friday OHS students participated in the curriculum fair held on campus.

The event was held to show freshman, sophomores and juniors all of the classes OHS has to offer, everything from electives to AP classes and dual-enrollment.

Students rotated around campus to view all the different departments such as: foreign languages, CTE (career and technical education) classes, fine arts and the journalism department.

“I think it was a good experience. I was able to see all the electives I can take and learn more about what our school offers,” said Skylar Murrell, freshman.

According to teachers freshman got the most out of the event.

“It was a very good thing for the freshman on campus,” said Lorie Marshall, CTE teacher. “But I feel like we need an alternative for the sophomores and juniors, they have already participated in it.”

Marshall feels as if the planning and presentation for her department (CTE) went well.

“We wanted to show all the offerings the CTE department has, and I thought it went very well,” Marshall said.
